I bought a hitch extender without the anti-wobble system and I just hated how much my bike rack with my very expensive MTB bounced around. I just installed the RockyMount extender, and it's absolutely locked into the hitch with NO wobble at all. No comparison and I highly recommend this product!
Great product. Needed some extra room to mount a bike rack to my truck with a very recessed hitch. Really like the stablization feature and the locking pin, both of which are solid.
This extender increased the clearance between spare tire and bike rack allowing transport of my two bikes on my travel trailer. Solid connection and pleased with purchase. No issues. Lock seems to be good quality. Will be taking off this week for first time in 10months to inspect. Do not expect any issues.
The best thing about RockyMounts hitch adapters and extenders is the locking mechanism. It doesn't rattle around back there when I'm offroading with the bike rack. Love it!

We bought this so our bike rack would be far enough back on our 5th wheel camper hitch so the bikes wouldn't hit the camper or back windows. We took it from the US East Coast all the way through the US, Western Canada, Alaska, and back on a 7th month trip and it worked perfectly. Those that have driven the Al/Can Highway can attest to the worst roads because of the frozen tundra frost heaves, so it's definitely a sturdy hitch.

Special thanks to Madison for helping me out in a pinch. I needed this extender overnight and she made sure that I got it in time. As for the extender, its exactly what I was hoping it would be and more. Not only does the threaded hitch pin lock the extender in place from side to side, the ball bearing locks it into place from top to bottom; AND the receiving end of the hitch is double-walled for added strength. I am very impressed with the quality of the Rocky Mounts hitch extender. FYI - I used this to extend the bike rack past the over-sized spare (35") on my 2016 Jeep. Adding 2 pics to show. Thanks again Madison - great customer service!
This hitch extension gives me easy access to the cargo section of my truck by allowing me to open the tailgate completely.
I called customer service and asked why the prices difference in the 3 models, and which she would recommend. She said the most expensive model had a great anti-rattle device and based on that, I ordered it. Very impressed with it. Actually feels like its part of the frame!

Works great! Gets my bike rack out past the spare tire. I also use an anti-rattle bracket with it so it is absolutely solid with no movement. This is not entirely necessary but it gives me even more peace of mind to no there is no movement. That being said the locking device on this hitch extender is excellent. Highly recommend!

Perfect. No movement and the rack is very flush with spare tire.
Excellent extender! It has the wedge/ball that expands into the receiver creating a rock solid fit. I have the Kuat bike rack with 2 Trek e-bikes and this is just what we needed. It clears the sore tire on our jeep without sacrificing support and strength.

That's awesome! It can be hard to work around those continental tires for sure. Love that this gives you enough space to bring your bikes along with you.
Item Works exactly as I hoped to move my bike rack away from the back of my RV. And I like that there's no movement of the extender or my bike rack while using the extender.

After a year, the extender is still working great with no issues. Ive used on my RV for multiple long trips and its still works as expected. Its something I dont have to think or worry about, it just does what its supposed to do. Very happy with it.
So far so good. Needed this extension to give a new Hollywood Racks Destination E clearance from the spare tire. It also gives enough clearance so that with the rack tilted, the rear doors of the van can open sufficiently for emergency exit as well as enough access from the rear. The extension seems very stabile after tightening. When carrying bikes, I plan to use ratchet straps from the rack to the door hinges due to the tongue weight reduction from the extension.

That looks great on your setup, and I am glad to hear it not only fixed the issue with clearance from the spare, but allowed access to the doors as well. It sounds like you got it covered! What vehicle or van did you install this on??
